WECHSELBEDINGUNGEN

AuPairCare:

Problem Notification and Resolution

1. As the au pair is living as a member of a Host Family and not under continual oversight or control of AuPairCare staff, it is the responsibility of the au pair to advise AuPairCare of any significant problems, including but not limited to the health, safety or welfare of the au pair, adjustment to family, culture, languages, etc.

2. The au pair must notify AuPairCare of any misunderstandings or problems with the Host family. AuPairCare will intervene and attempt to resolve the problem. Au Pair understands that AuPairCare suggests an initial adjustment period of 60 days following au pair's arrival before any placement change is considered, however, any decision regarding au pair removal is at AuPairCare's sole discretion.

3. If the au pair does not make a good faith and substantial effort to resolve the problems or misunderstandings, or if the au pair violates any terms of this Agreement, AuPairCare may in its sole discretion terminate the au pair's participation in the program and immediately repatriate the au pair to his/her home country at the au pair's expense.

4. In the event the au pair does not succesfully complete the program year, the au pair is responsible for his/her return travel expenses.

5. In the event the au pair's first placement is not successful, and AuPairCare determines in its sole judgment that the au pair shall be placed in a new family, the au pair agrees to cooperate with AuPairCare during the entire re-matching process. In the event that AuPairCare is unable to place the au pair in a new family within a period of 14 days, the au pair may be sent home at his/her expense.

6. If the host family is willing to house the au pair in transition until she or he is re-matched, and AuPairCare, in its sole discretion, determines that under the circumstances it would be reasonable for the au pair to remain in the home, but the au pair refuses to stay with the family, the au pair will be required to pay a $25.00 per day housing stipend to the party who houses him/her, typically an AuPairCare field staff member.

iSt / EurAupair:

Change of Hostfamily
If difficulties between you and your Host Family prove to be impossible to solve, and only after sufficient effort to make it work, EurAupair will try to find a new Host Family for you. It will take some time to locate a new Host Family. Usually the first Host Family will let you stay in their home while EurAupair is trying to find a family for you, and a new Au Pair for them. If a new Host Family is not found in time, or if you refuse a placement, you will have to return home. Your deposit will be forfeited so it can be used to cover some of the costs of your inbound flights and "Au Pair Workshop."
Never leave your Host Family without first talking with your Community Counselor

Only rarely will an Au Pair be moved to a third Host Family.
